Castle Defense - licence

Castle Defense is an HTML5 maths game written by Bryant Brownell (2012) as an individual entry of the Liberated Pixel Cup
2012. The author published it on OpenGameArt (https://opengameart.org/content/castle-defense, file CastleDefense.zip, 1.3 MB;
SHA-256 b7de0ee0420a3f08ea5d79cd9953de8383355367fe50150cad22d85159f392b7). Checked on 2026-11-06 from the zip itself.

What the package says (COPYING.txt and AUTHORS.txt, reproduced below in full):
- code: GNU General Public License, version 3 or (at your option) any later version;
- artwork, music and other assets: dual licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported and the GNU
  General Public License, version 3 or later; AUTHORS.txt names the author of every asset (tiles by Guido Bos, sprites and
  icon by Johannes Sjolund, music "Torvald" by Nelson James Gatlin, sound effects by Johnathan Roatch).
Both licences allow copying, modification and redistribution, including for commercial use, as long as the licence is kept,
the authors are credited (CC BY-SA) and the source is offered (GPL).

Full texts. The package of the game carries the complete legal texts: gpl-3.0.txt (GNU General Public License,
version 3) and cc-by-sa-3.0.txt (Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported legal code), both in the folder of
the game on this site and in the source zip hosted beside it. COPYING.txt below is the statement of the author.

What this site serves: the game of the zip, as the author sent it (no minification, no libraries, no network access), with
these changes of ours (castle-defense.patch, hosted with the source):
- the keys the game keeps in the browser storage ("topScore", "punchlineIdx") now begin with "castleDefense.", because the
  browser storage is shared by every game of this site;
- play.html (ours), which shows the game scaled to fit the player.
The source of what is served (the original zip, the patch, play.html and the build scripts) is hosted beside the game and linked
from the Licenses page.
