Final Bastion - licence ======================= Final Bastion is a game by mago (GitHub: themangomago) made for Open Jam 2019 and published at https://github.com/themangomago/FinalBastion-OpenJam2019. Checked at commit bbea704e3be905e436b8bdcb8fda06ebd8e46ca5 (2019-09-29) on 2026-11-02. The README of the repository says (original text, "License" section): All assets are released und the '[The Unlicense](./LICENSE)' license expect the epic soundtrack from [Rafael Krux](https://www.orchestralis.net/#/) which is licensed under [Creative Commons 0](https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/). The itch.io page of the game (https://magodev.itch.io/final-bastion) repeats the same sentence. The repository carries The Unlicense in the file LICENSE (text below, the original file, complete), and GitHub detects it as such. What this covers, checked file by file: - Code, scenes, graphics (made with LibreSprite), sound effects (made with JFXR and Audacity, per the README) and the two bitmap fonts (assets/fonts/mago1.ttf and mago3.2.ttf; their name tables carry the author's own name, "mago", and there is no other font in the project): all by the author, under The Unlicense. - Music (assets/music/music.ogg): "Video Game Blockbuster", "Behind Enemy Lines" and "Epic Boss Battle" by Rafael Krux, the three tracks named in the file's tags. Checked on 2026-11-02 at FreePD.com (Wayback Machine capture of https://freepd.com/epic.php, 2023): the page is headed "Free Public Domain Music, Creative Commons 0, Completely Royalty Free", lists the three tracks as "Written by Rafael Krux" and says the music "is available for commercial and non-commercial purposes". FreePD has since closed; the author's own page, https://www.orchestralis.net, is linked by the game's README. Used without changes. Left out of the served game (they stay in the hosted source): the .ase drawing sources, the _site folder (images made for the itch.io page), assets/fleja-master-palette.gpl (a colour palette that no scene uses) and assets/gfx/ open-jam-logo-tagline-no-bg.png (the Open Jam logo, which no scene uses). Changes from the original project, all made by src/build-final-bastion.sh (the hosted source already has the first two): - the menu footer "2019 by mago `magodevel (yen)magodev" (the author's social media handles) became "2019 by mago". - the menu button "Surrender/Quit" (which only calls get_tree().quit(), something a browser ignores) is hidden when the game runs on the web (two lines added to scripts/menu/menu.gd). - the project is exported with Godot 3.2.2 (the original used 3.1.1); no project file was changed for that. - nothing else was changed.
