The README gives only "permission to distribute the music along with this game", a permission that is not a free licence and does not cover this site's use. The four tracks (data/title.ogg, data/travel.ogg, data/boss.ogg and data/equip.ogg) were removed, and so was the credit line that named them on the title screen. The game has no other sounds, so this version is silent. What this site serves: the forgotten-angel.pgapp built by Builds/build-forgotten-angel.sh from that archive, with the changes published as web.patch next to the source: the code was ported from Python 2 to Python 3 (2to3), numpy was removed (the fade and the red tint of images use plain pygame blending), the main loop became asynchronous (a pygbag requirement), the Quit button is gone (the title screen is shown again if the last scene ends), saves are written to /saves, the pickled data files are read with encoding latin1, and the game's run_game.py became main.py. The map generation tools (Python 2 scripts), the .pyw launcher and the four music files were left out. No image or font was altered.
