About the game
A phosphor sweep turns around your ship like a radar. Hunters show up only as blips painted when the beam crosses them, and each blip fades, leaving a track that tells you where they are heading. Pressing the button makes your ship blink to the tip of the beam, a fixed distance away, and fire a sonar shot onward along the beam from where you land.
The same press can attack, by blinking toward a far hunter and shooting it, escape, by leaving the ones closing in, or set up a later shot, by ending up with a hunter in the shot's path. A destroyed hunter bursts nearby ones, so a well-timed shot pops a whole swarm. Landing beyond the edge of the scope loses the ship, and hunters that are very close are visible without a sweep but cannot be shot, only escaped.
Clear all ten sectors to complete the game. A demo pilot plays the title screen, and the sound starts with the game.

A few things worth knowing
Read the tracks. The joined blips show which way each hunter is moving.
Time the beam. Blink just as the beam crosses the swarm you want to pop.
Watch the edge. Landing outside the scope costs the ship.
