About the game

Darts is a game of arithmetic and nerve. Everyone starts at 501 (or 301) and throws three darts a turn; the score of each dart comes off the total. The outer ring doubles the number and the middle ring trebles it, the bullseye is 50 and the ring around it 25. To win you must reach exactly zero with the last dart on a double or the bullseye; go below zero, or to one, and it is a bust and the score goes back.

There are two ways to aim: drag your finger and let go, or tap twice to stop two moving lines whose crossing is where the dart lands. A suggested checkout shows under the board. Play against a bot, a friend or the daily 301. It is one of a set of small games written by the author of Chogan with the help of AI tools; the board is drawn by the code and the sounds are generated while you play.

Playing it here

Click Play and pick Versus bot or Two players. In Drag mode, drag your finger or mouse over the board (the sight sits a little above your finger) and let go to throw; your hand wobbles a little, so the moment you let go matters. In Two lines mode, tap once to stop the upright line and again to stop the level one. The button above the board switches between the two.

A few things worth knowing

Treble 20 is the biggest score. Go for it early in a 501 game.

Plan the finish. Leave a number that ends on a double you like.

Beware the bust. Going below zero, or to one, gives the turn back with the old score.

Credits and licence

Darts is part of Chogan by Chogan (choganhq), published under the MIT licence. The repository was written with the help of AI, and this page says so openly. Everything is drawn by the code and the sounds are generated on the fly; the only font is Vazirmatn (SIL Open Font License 1.1). The licence texts are linked from this page. We took out the app shell: this game opens on its own, with no app menu, sharing or league points, the language follows the site's (the Portuguese was translated by us) and nothing is requested from other sites.
