About the game

Eight-ball is the classic pub pool game: fifteen numbered balls, one white cue ball and a simple goal. The first ball you pot decides your group, solids (1 to 7) or stripes (9 to 15), and the rest is a race to clear your own group and then sink the black 8 without fouling. The table has proper bounce and spin physics, the AI plays at several levels, and the daily table gives everyone the same layout to clear in as few shots as possible.

It is one of a set of small card, board and sports games written by the author of Chogan with the help of AI tools. The graphics are drawn by the code and the sounds are generated while you play.

Playing it here

Click Play, choose Versus AI or Two players, then Start. At the break, drag the white ball behind the line and hit the rack. After that, drag on the table to turn the aim line, pull the power bar and release. If your opponent fouls you get ball in hand: drag the white ball anywhere and aim again.

Controls

Input Action
Drag on the table Turn the aim line
Pull the power bar, release Shoot
Drag the white ball Place it at the break or with ball in hand
Gear button Aiming style and turn speed

A few things worth knowing

Keep shooting. As long as you pot your own balls the turn stays with you.

Leave the 8 for last. If it drops early you lose the frame.

Watch the white. Potting it, or hitting a ball that is not yours first, gives your opponent ball in hand.
