About the game

Pasur is a fishing game for two from Iran. Four cards lie face up on the table and each player holds a hand. On your turn you play one card: a number card takes any set of table cards that add up to eleven together with it, with the ace counting one. A jack sweeps everything except kings and queens, a queen takes one queen and a king takes one king. If your card can take, it must; otherwise it goes on the table. Clearing the whole table in one go is a sur and scores five points.

At the end the points are counted: most clubs, the ten of diamonds, the two of clubs, and every ace and jack. You play against an AI rival. It is one of a set of small card games written by the author of Chogan with the help of AI tools; the cards are drawn by the code and the sounds are generated while you play.

Playing it here

Click Play and start a game. Click a card in your hand. If more than one set of table cards adds up, the game asks you to pick the ones you take; click them and confirm. A card that cannot take goes on the table by itself. The undo button takes back your last move. The rules and a short tutorial are inside the game.

A few things worth knowing

Watch the clubs. Seven points go to whoever holds most of them at the end.

Keep a jack for later. It is the only way to clear a crowded table.

Count the table. Leaving a total of eleven open gives the rival an easy sur.

Credits and licence

Pasur is part of Chogan by Chogan (choganhq), published under the MIT licence. The repository was written with the help of AI, and this page says so openly. Everything is drawn by the code and the sounds are generated on the fly; the only font is Vazirmatn (SIL Open Font License 1.1). The licence texts are linked from this page. We took out the app shell: this game opens on its own, with no app menu, sharing or league points, the language follows the site's (the Portuguese was translated by us) and nothing is requested from other sites.
