About the game

Platshoot is a platformer where you aim with the mouse. You play a small soldier in a grey helmet who runs and jumps across a cave of brown stone, and wherever the mouse points, that is where the bullets go. Tan, armed figures stand on the ledges and in the passages, and the level is a staircase of blocks, ramps and drops that makes you move while you shoot.

The screen shows what you need at a glance: health and armour at the bottom left, fuel and the ammunition of the weapon in your hand at the bottom right, and on the right the number of enemies you have killed and of items you have found, with a timer above them. Medical kits and ammunition lie in the level, and the game counts everything you collect, so exploring the corners pays off.

The project dates from 2016 and has been ported to newer versions of Godot over the years; this version runs on Godot 3.5. The game also has a multiplayer mode over the network, but the author's own code turns it off in web exports, so here you play on your own. There are two levels.

Tips

Keep moving. The enemies are accurate when you stand still, so shoot while you run along a ledge.

Watch your ammunition. The pistol gauge at the bottom right drops with every shot; pick up ammo boxes before you need them.

Look at the HUD. The kills and items counters tell you how much of the level you have not seen yet.

FAQ

Why is Multiplayer greyed out? The game itself disables the network mode in web versions, so it is greyed out here.

Can I use a French keyboard? Yes, Z, Q, S and D work as well as W, A, S and D.

Does it work on a phone? No, the game needs a mouse and a keyboard.
