About the game

PRISMHOOF is a precision platformer with one clever idea: the unicorn can pour a rainbow. Hold the paint key and the horn sprays a stream that flies forward, falls under its own gravity and leaves a solid rainbow behind it until it hits something. What you get depends on where you fire from. On flat ground it sweeps and purifies the Gloom in front of you; at the edge of a drop it arcs across the gap as a bridge; from a rising jump it becomes a ramp; and in mid-air the stream pushes back and gives you lift.

Each of the thirteen courses asks you to purify every patch of Gloom, which opens the Rainbow Gate, and then to run through it. A single clock runs through the whole game and never stops, and falling into the lava costs you time rather than lives, so mistakes are cheap but they add up. Finish all thirteen and the grey meadow from the title screen comes back in colour with your time under it.

BeluBruh123 made PRISMHOOF for js13kGames 2026, where the whole game had to fit in 13 KB. Every picture and every sound is generated by the code.

Playing it here

Click Play, then press Play on the title screen. The first courses teach one trick each, with short hints written on the ground. The game is for the keyboard; there are no touch controls. Music and sound have their own switches and volume sliders under Settings. Nothing is saved between visits.

A few things worth knowing

Where you fire matters more than how long. Try the same stream from the edge of a drop, from a jump and from the ground to see the three shapes it makes.

Lava costs time, not lives. If you are stuck, retry with R and look at the whole course with C before you commit.

Use the dash for the last bit of a gap. It resets every time you land.
