About the game
All the bus drivers are on holiday, so the city has hired the next best thing: raccoons. They are a bit hectic, but they will drive. Your job is to carry 404 people in 404 seconds. The passengers want to go from one city to another, and the cities are the red circles on the map. You start with an empty field and no money, and you have to build everything: roads, stops, a depot, and then buy buses and tell each one where to stop and when.
The game is a small management puzzle seen in 3D from above. A row of icons at the top holds the tools: you build and demolish roads and buildings, open the Depot to buy and sell buses, open the Bank to borrow money (and repay it before the timer runs out), and read the statistics, which count passengers carried, income and costs. Clicking a stop opens its Schedule, where you choose what each bus does there. The clock in the corner shows the day and time, and every action costs money, so the order in which you do things matters.
The whole game was made for js13kGames 2020 and fits in a 13 KB page, with the Twemoji font for the icons.
Playing it here
Click Play, and read the welcome window, which explains the goal. Close it with the X. Everything is done with the mouse (the page also reacts to touch). Take a loan at the Bank first, because you start with no money, then build a road between two circles and put a stop at each end.

A few things worth knowing
Money first. The game says "Not enough money" for any action you cannot pay. The Bank is the answer, but remember to repay before the end.
Short routes first. Two circles that are close to each other are the easiest start, and a short trip fills a bus quickly.
Let the raccoons work. The buses follow their schedule by themselves, so spend your time on the network and on the schedules.
Credits and licence
Raccoon Transport 404 was created by Gabor Heja for js13kGames 2020 and is released under the MIT licence. The icons use the Twemoji Mozilla font, made from the Twemoji graphics (Copyright Twitter, Inc and other contributors, CC BY 4.0; the font build is by the Mozilla Foundation, Apache-2.0); this site serves the font file next to the game instead of loading it from the author's website, which is the only change. The licence texts are linked from this page, and the source is on GitHub.
