About the game
Rainbow Fight is a one-screen beat-em-up in the style of the old arcade brawlers, with a unicorn as the hero. The city is full of wolves and overflowing trash cans, and the job is to clean up each street: knock out every wolf and make every can bloom into flowers.
Three punches in a row make a smash that sends a wolf flying. Hold the hit button and the horn charges a rainbow beam; at full charge it crosses the whole street, hurts every wolf in its path and makes the trash cans bloom. Wolves pick up cans and throw them at you, and a carried can protects a wolf until a hit knocks it loose, but a thrown can can be volleyed back with a well-timed punch. Each new street adds a wolf, a can, a bit more speed and a faster beat to the music.
LazyLuigi made Rainbow Fight for js13kGames 2026, where the whole game had to fit in 13 KB. The sprites are tiny 16-colour pictures stored in the code and the four-voice chiptune is generated on the fly.
Playing it here
Click Play, then press any key or tap to start. The first street is a short tutorial the first time you play in a visit. Keep your distance from wolves that are winding up a throw, punch the ones carrying cans to knock the can loose, and save the charged beam for a crowd. The game ends when your hearts run out; the best scores are kept in your browser.

A few things worth knowing
Beam first, then punch. A charged beam clears a whole line and also blooms the cans, which saves a lot of walking.
Watch the cans. A wolf holding one does not lose health from the first blow, so hit it once and then again.
Volley the throws. A punch at the right moment sends a can back at the wolf who threw it.
