About the game
Snooker is a cue game played on a big green table with fifteen red balls, six colours and a white cue ball. This version has the full rules: you pot a red, then a colour, then a red again, and when the reds are gone the colours go in order from yellow to black. The balls roll, collide and rebound with believable physics, and the AI plays at several levels. You can also share the screen with a friend, start with fewer reds for a quick frame, or try the daily table, where you clear the balls in as few shots as you can.
It is one of a set of small card, board and sports games written by the author of Chogan with the help of AI tools. The graphics are drawn by the code and the sound effects are generated while you play, so there are no image or sound files.
Playing it here
Click Play, then pick Versus AI or Two players and press Start. On your turn, drag on the table to turn the aim line, then pull the power bar below the table and let go to shoot. The gear button offers two ways to aim: Turn rotates the cue slowly around the white ball, Point follows your finger. After a foul or at the break-off you can drag the white ball inside the D. The rules and a short tutorial are inside the game.
Controls
| Input | Action |
|---|---|
| Drag on the table | Turn the aim line |
| Pull the power bar, release | Shoot |
| Drag the white ball (in the D) | Place the white after a foul or at the break |
| Gear button | Aiming style, turn speed, number of reds |
A few things worth knowing
Fewer reds, shorter frame. Start with three reds while you learn the order of the colours.
Use Turn for long shots. A slow, fine rotation beats dragging when the target is far away.
A foul gives away at least four points. Hit a ball that is on before anything else.
Credits and licence
Snooker is part of Chogan by Chogan (choganhq), published under the MIT licence. The repository was written with the help of AI, and this page says so openly. Everything is drawn by the code and the sounds are generated on the fly; the only font is Vazirmatn (SIL Open Font License 1.1). The licence texts are linked from this page. We took out the app shell: this game opens on its own, with no app menu, sharing or league points, the language follows the site's (the Portuguese was translated by us) and nothing is requested from other sites.
