About the game
Two Ships Passing in the Night starts on the hull of one huge spaceship, with another cruiser going by in the black sky. You move in first person over the flat, pale plates of the hull, and the enemies come to you: dark cubes with a red face, tall red spikes and other hostile shapes that float in the sky. Your shots break them into yellow and white blocks, and each kill adds to the score in the corner. Your health is the number in the opposite corner, and it slowly comes back when nobody is hitting you.
The graphics are plain boxes, lit with a single sun and with soft shadows, built by a tiny 3D engine written for the contest. The whole game is a single page of about 16 KB. There is no menu: click, and you are in the fight. When your health is gone, the game is over and one click on Restart starts it again.

A few things worth knowing
Keep moving. The enemies fire back, so a player who keeps strafing and jumping is harder to hit.
Mind the edge. The hull ends, and falling into the dark hurts a lot.
Fire in bursts. The gun fires many shots per second, so you can keep the button down while you aim, but nothing gets hit if you aim the wrong way.
