About the game
Vlad the vampire is having a party in his big house, and he has invited his friends: dancing vampires, small vampires and a flock of bats, with a DJ, a disco ball and projectors. The whole game is drawn on a 64 by 64 pixel screen, as the LOWREZJAM asks, so every dot counts.
You are the one who keeps the party going. Four keys, Z, X, C and V, match the four beats of each bar of music: press them in time with the song and the guests do their dance moves and score points, and every hit in a row is worth more, while a miss sends the points per hit back to one. The music changes as the night passes, and when the sun starts to rise you have to call the guests to the middle of the house with Space, because vampires and daylight do not mix. A round lasts about four minutes, two nights with the day between them, and then shows your final score.
It was made in two weeks by Saviorium and Sasha9843 (code and art) with music by Jullyfish and Saviorium, and it is a small prototype, a few minutes long, with a lot of charm.
Playing it here
Click Play and then click or press any key on the first screen. Move the mouse to look around: the camera follows it over the party. The game has no real progress to save, so each round starts over, and Esc brings you back to the start of the night. The game window is square, so it appears in the middle of the frame with black bars at the sides.
The game runs in the LÖVE game framework, compiled to WebAssembly. This version is the same as the original, without the files the authors use only to make the game (their editor projects and a web page).
Controls
| Input | Action |

| Esc | start over |
A few things worth knowing
Listen first. The songs keep a steady beat of 115 bpm, and the ruler at the bottom of the screen marks the beats. Start by pressing the keys one by one in time with the music, and add more once it feels natural.
Watch the sky. The night lasts a minute, then the sun rises. Press Space to gather the guests in the middle of the house, and wait for the sun to go down again.
The music is part of the fun. There are three tracks, for the night, the late night and the day, and they change on their own while the round goes on.
