About the game
Big2Small is a puzzle game about three friends of very different sizes. Elle the elephant wants a peanut, Gisele the goat wants an apple and Melanie the mouse wants cheese, and each puzzle is solved when every animal on the board reaches its own snack.
The trick is that they move nothing alike. The elephant is strong enough to push pipes out of the way, the goat leaps over rivers, and the mouse slips through holes in fences and walls that the others cannot use, but has to stay clear of mousetraps. Most puzzles need the animals to clear the way for one another, and the order of the moves matters.
The 40 puzzles are spread over a world map with forests, a farm, mountains, a lake, the sewers, a city and, at the end, space. Each puzzle counts your moves and shows a par to aim for.
Playing it here
This is a homebrew game made for the Game Boy: a new game by an independent developer, not a commercial release. It runs here in binjgb, a Game Boy emulator compiled to WebAssembly, in colour, as on a Game Boy Color. Click Play now and press Enter to start.
The game saves your progress on the cartridge's battery memory, which this site keeps in your browser automatically. F2 also saves the full state of the emulator and F4 brings it back. A gamepad works too. The game is in English.

A few things worth knowing
Reset is free. If a puzzle goes wrong, the pause menu's Reset puts every animal back where it started. Experimenting is part of the game.
Think about who goes first. An animal can block another, or open the way for it. Before moving, look at which animal has to clear a path for the others.
Par is a bonus. The pause menu shows your moves, your best and the par for the puzzle. Finishing is what unlocks the next ones; matching par is for a second attempt.
Watch the mouse. A mousetrap ends the attempt, so plan its route around them.
