About the game
A glowing blue box fills the screen, and a green snake lives on its inner wall. Inside the box, red balls drift and bounce off the walls. If a ball touches the snake, the game is over, and the only thing keeping them away is the snake's own fire.
Hold the button and the snake's head crawls along the wall, round the corners, making the snake longer. Release, and the tail catches up with the head, so the snake gets shorter again. A small turret travels along the body from the head towards the tail and fires blue bullets straight into the box, so a long snake is a long firing line. When the turret reaches the tail it jumps back to the head and starts again. A ball shot by a bullet scores ten points for every wall's worth of snake, times your multiplier, so a long snake is worth more per ball, but it is also a bigger target to protect.
The multiplier goes up by one each time the head runs all the way round and meets the tail again, which means wrapping the snake around the whole box.
Box Snake is one of the mini-games that Kenta Cho, who works as ABA Games, makes with his crisp-game-lib library. There are no image or sound files: the graphics are drawn by the code, and the sound effects and music are generated while you play.

A few things worth knowing
Short and long both have a use. A short snake is quick to move out of the way, while a long one covers more of the wall and scores more per hit.
Mind the corners. The turret follows the snake round corners, so bullets can come from a different wall than the one the head is on.
Go for the loop. Closing a full circle is what raises the multiplier, and the multiplier multiplies every ball after it.
