About the game
The board is a dark grid with a few colored squares and a few gray targets. Your job is simple to say and not always simple to do: get cubes onto every one of the targets. You do not pick a cube; you move all the green ones at once, in the direction you press, and they slide until something stops them. Everything else on the board stays where it is, until a green cube bumps into it.
The colors give the game its rules. A red cube eats a green one it touches, a green cube eats a blue one, and a blue cube eats a red one: red beats green, green beats blue, blue beats red, and a cube that has all three in one place changes nothing. Two cubes of the same color merge when they hit each other, so a small cube can grow into a long bar and a bar can fit through places a loose cube cannot. White cubes are the exception: they never move and never merge, so they work as walls. Some levels join cubes into rigid shapes that move as one piece.
The levels are small and clever. The first one has a single green cube, a blue one and a red one, and teaches you what eating means; later ones are mazes, symmetrical figures, long corridors, and boards where moving one cube drags a dozen others after it. Nothing is timed and nothing is lost for a wrong move, because restarting a level takes a single key.
Cube Collection was made by wiryls with the Bevy game engine in Rust, and its rules live in a separate small library. The levels are plain text drawings, which is how the author makes new ones.
Playing it here
The game runs in the page; click on it once and use the keyboard. It does not save your progress, so reloading the page starts from the first level. The download is about 5 MB, and there is no sound.
Controls
| Key | Action |

Tips
Learn the eating order first. Red eats green, green eats blue, blue eats red. Before you move, check which of your cubes a neighbor could eat, and which neighbors you could eat instead.
Merging is a resource. Joining two green cubes makes one bigger piece, and that piece may cover two targets at once, or may no longer fit through a narrow gap.
Check the walls. Cubes slide until they are stopped, so the edge of the board and the white walls are your brakes. Plan the stopping points, not the moves.
Restart without guilt. R costs nothing, and many levels become clear only after you see how a bad first move ruins them.
Credits and licence
Cube Collection was made by wiryls. The game itself is under the MIT License and its rules library, cube-core, under the GNU Lesser General Public License 3.0, with the Bevy engine and the other Rust libraries under their own licences. The game has no pictures, sounds or fonts: the cubes are vector shapes. The licence texts, the licences of the libraries, and the complete source with the build script (which the LGPL asks for) are linked from this page. The repository carries an AGENTS.md file for AI coding assistants, so the project was developed with their help.
FAQ
Nothing moves when I press a key. Click on the game once to give it the keyboard focus.
What do I do when I am stuck? Press R to restart the level, or N to skip it. L takes you back.
Does it work on a phone? The game needs a keyboard, so it is meant for a computer.
