About the game
A row of rectangular dumplings floats in the air, each one with a sign and a number written on it, such as "+7" or "*3", and each bobbing up and down on its own. A skewer rests near the bottom right of the screen. Press the button and it shoots across, goes through any dumpling that happens to be at its height at that moment and slides them off along its length.
Then comes the arithmetic. The dumplings that were on the skewer are read from left to right as one sum, so a "+4", a "*3" and a "+2" make 4 x 3 + 2 = 14 and score that many points, and every 100 points in a single thrust gives you another skewer. You start with nine and spend one on every thrust, so it pays to wait for a good line of numbers to line up instead of tapping at random. The dumplings slowly drift toward the skewer, and if one touches it, or if you run out of skewers, the game is over.
Dango is one of the one-button mini-games that Kenta Cho, who works as ABA Games, makes with his crisp-game-lib library. There are no image or sound files: the graphics are drawn by the code, and the sound effects and music are generated while you play.
Playing it here
Click Play, then click, tap or press Space inside the game to start. The sum that the skewer is holding is shown at the bottom left, and the score of the last thrust at the bottom right. Nothing is installed or sent anywhere. The best score at the top right is only remembered while the page stays open.

A few things worth knowing
Count the skewers left. They are the little blue bars on the right: one is spent on each thrust.
Order matters. A "" at the very start multiplies nothing and gives zero, while a "" after a big total is worth far more.
Do not wait too long. The dumplings drift closer all the time, and one touching the skewer ends the run.
