About the game
Dungeon Squish is a short action game about a slime with a cushy job. You are the Dissolver, a big green blob who lives in a dank dungeon and keeps adventurers away from a necromancer's lair. Lately too many of them have slipped past, and the necromancer is not happy. The game opens with a quick, funny scene between the two of them, and then you are sent back to work.
The idea of every fight is in the name. Your slime is a single wobbling shape that slides along the floor, and it can jump and come down hard on whatever is below it. A crowd of little skeletons, many of them archers, marches in from the arches along the wall, and the arrows they fire eat into your slime. There are fifty of them in all, and the skull counter in the corner shows how many are left. Squash every one before the green bar at the top (the Dissolver's slime) runs out, and the necromancer finally gets some peace.
It was made by Wandering Door Games for a community game jam whose theme was "Limited Lifetime", and it is as short as that suggests: quick runs, easy to learn, hard to master, and good for "just one more try".
Playing it here
Click Play and wait a moment while the game loads (about 14 MB, downloaded only when you press the button). Click inside the game once so that it receives the keyboard. The opening dialogue has a Skip Intro button in the corner. After that, choose Play in the menu; a short card tells you the one trick you need: jump into the air, then hold squish to slam down on your foes.
There are no save slots, because a run is short. The game needs a keyboard.

Tips
Squish from the air. The slam is strongest after a jump, so jump first and hold the squish key as you land on a skeleton.
Dodge the arrows. Archers fire from a distance. A quick hop over a shot costs less slime than trying to out-tank it.
Keep moving. A slime that stands still in the middle of the room is an easy target. Slide toward the group that is closest to piling up.
Watch the bar. The green bar at the top is your lifetime. Take the risky slam only when you have enough left to recover.
FAQ
Is there a story? A small one: the opening scene sets up the Dissolver and the angry necromancer, there is a short scene when you win, and the rest is the fight.
Does it work on a phone? No. It needs a keyboard, so it is best on a computer.
Is it free to share? Yes. The code is under the GNU Affero GPL, the artwork under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0, and the sounds, music and fonts are credited below.
