About the game
Escapade! is a parody of pulp adventure. You are Scotty, long-suffering sidekick to the heroic Captain McBrawn, and for once you have been given an important job: find the President of the World and warn him of an attack. Unfortunately the Screaming Communists caught you first, and now you are locked in a cell.
Getting out is not the hard part. Staying out is. Every time you escape, the guard catches you and throws you back in, and the game keeps count. There are eleven different ways out of the room, some sensible and most not, and the fun is in finding them all while a sarcastic companion comments on your progress.
Juhana Leinonen wrote it for the One Room Game Competition in 2008, where it came second, and it was nominated for three XYZZY Awards.

A few things worth knowing
You cannot lose. There is no way to die or to get stuck, so try anything. The game tells you this itself.
Highlighted words are topics. When a word in a reply stands out, it is
something you can talk about next with t.
Getting caught is progress. Each escape counts, even if it ends with you
back in the cell. score shows how many you have found.
After the ending, look at the list. Once you finish, the game can show every escape, so you can go back for the ones you missed.
