About the game

Three little boxes sit in a small room with walls. You cannot move them one by one. Whichever way you swipe, or press an arrow key, all three set off together in that direction and keep sliding until something stops them: a wall, or another box that is already standing still. The room has three red targets on its floor, and the trip is over when every box has stopped on one.

It sounds simple until the boxes get in each other's way. A box that stops against another one changes where the third can stop, and a move that parks one box on a target often sends another one past its own. The puzzles are about finding the order and the direction in which the three can be walked into place, and about seeing the move that backs out of a dead end. There are two buttons at the bottom, Undo and Reset, and they are used a lot.

The rooms are built by a level generator, so the trips keep coming, and each one is called a trip, counted from one. The game keeps your trip number in your browser. is a small puzzle game made by Kenta Cho, who works as ABA Games, with his crisp-game-lib library. There are no image or sound files: the graphics are drawn by the code, and the sound effects and music are generated while you play.

Playing it here

Click Play, then swipe or press an arrow key inside the game. Nothing is installed or sent anywhere. The trip you have reached is kept in your browser.

Controls

Input Action
Swipe, arrow keys or WASD slide all the boxes that way
U or the Undo button undo the last move
R or the Reset button start the trip again

A few things worth knowing

Think about where each box stops. A box that stops against another is a wall for the next one.

Undo is free. Try a move to see where the boxes end up, then take it back.

Work backwards. Picture the last move into the targets and ask what position would lead to it.
