About the game

Heartlight PC is a puzzle game about a dwarf who needs hearts. Each level is a single screen of rock, earth and hazards, and the exit door stays shut until the dwarf has collected the number of hearts shown in the corner.

The catch is gravity. Rocks and hearts fall whenever nothing holds them up, so digging the wrong tile first can bury the heart you needed, or you. Every level is really a question about order: what to clear, what to push, and what to leave alone until last.

There are seventy levels, you have unlimited lives, and levels can be played in any order, so a stubborn one never blocks the rest.

A few things worth knowing

Look before you dig. Most levels can be lost in the first few moves. Trace what will fall once each tile is gone before touching anything.

Restarting is free. Esc puts the level back as it was, with no penalty. Treat a failed attempt as information.

Skip and come back. Space with an arrow key changes level at any time, and the game keeps track of which ones you have finished in your player slot.
