Hoop Shot

About the game
A basketball sits on the floor, a hoop hangs on the far side of the court, and a clock counts down from sixty seconds. Put the ball through the hoop as many times as you can before it runs out.
You aim with a drag. Press on the ball, pull the pointer toward where you want it to go and a dotted arc previews the flight; the longer the drag, the harder the throw. The hoop does not stay still: it drifts from side to side, faster and wider as the clock runs down, so the same shot does not work twice. A ball that goes in without touching the rim or the backboard (a swish) scores more than one that bounces in, and several makes in a row set you on fire for a bonus point on every basket until you miss.

A few things worth knowing
Lead the hoop. It keeps moving, so aim where it will be when the ball arrives.
Use the arc. The dotted preview is accurate; adjust it before you let go.
Chase the streak. Steady, clean shots matter more than fast ones.
Credits and licence
Hoop Shot is one of the games in LittleJS Arcade, a collection by Frank Force built on his open-source LittleJS engine and released under the MIT licence. The pictures are drawn in code and the sounds are synthesised, so the game has no image or audio files. The author's repository includes AI-assistant guidance files, so the collection was written with the help of AI tools. The licence text is linked from this page and the source code is on GitHub.
