About the game
Lemmicorns is a game of nudging. A cloud at one end of each level drops tiny unicorns, one after another, and all they know how to do is walk. They walk straight ahead, turn around when they hit a wall and keep going, off ledges and into pits if that is where the road leads. At the other end of the level a small rainbow waits, and your job is to get enough of them to it alive.
You cannot steer them. What you have is a bar of skills at the bottom of the screen, each with a small counter above it: a blocker that makes the others turn back, a bomb that blows a hole in the ground, three kinds of digging (straight down, diagonally down and sideways) and a rainbow bridge that carries them over a gap. Pick a skill, click a unicorn, and from then on that unicorn does it. The earth is a soft brown canvas you can carve, and the counters make every skill precious.
A level is won when the number shown at the top is reached: the first one asks for three unicorns saved, the second for eight. A fall that is too long kills, and so does touching the bottom of the screen. Winning a level takes you to the next one, and short hints are written into the terrain, such as "Just dig...".
Christoph Schansky made Lemmicorns for js13kGames 2026, where the whole game, zipped, had to fit in 13 kilobytes. There is only one small sprite sheet; the ground is generated by code, and the music and sound effects were composed in the SoundBox tracker.
Playing it here
Click Play, then press START on the title screen. The title doubles as the first level, which teaches the controls: let the unicorns walk to the rainbow and press NEXT LEVEL when the button shows up. Nothing is saved between visits, so a reload starts over from the title.

A few things worth knowing
Think before you dig. A skill is used up each time you hand it out, and the counter above its icon says how many are left.
Keep them from falling far. A drop that is too long kills a unicorn, so dig down in steps or build a bridge instead of digging through a high cliff.
A blocker is a wall that unicorns respect. Use one to turn a line of walkers around, or to hold them back while you open a path.
