About the game

The maze scrolls slowly upwards and its walls are yours to change. Tap a spot to put a wall there, or tap a wall to remove it, and drag across several cells to do it along a line. Small creatures appear at the top and make their way down by following the walls with one hand, so the shape of the maze decides where they go. Blue and purple ones turn left or right as they follow a wall, and one that finds no way down at all turns red and angry, and smashes through the walls in front of it.

Gold keeps rising into the maze from below. A creature that walks over a piece of gold picks it up, and each pick-up in a row is worth one more point than the last. If a piece of gold reaches the top edge without being collected, the game is over. You cannot build on top of gold, so the trick is to open a route from the creature to the gold and close the alternatives.

A creature that makes it down and out through the bottom costs you points and lowers the multiplier, and it also makes the maze scroll faster for a moment, so it is not enough to let them run straight out. Lead them across the gold on the way. is one of the one-button mini-games that Kenta Cho, who works as ABA Games, makes with his crisp-game-lib library. There are no image or sound files: the graphics are drawn by the code, and the sound effects and music are generated while you play.

A few things worth knowing

Walls are hands. Creatures follow a wall on one side, so a long wall is a rail that leads them somewhere.

Do not wall them in. If there is no path to the bottom the creature gets angry and breaks through, which is sometimes useful and sometimes not.

Watch the top. The piece of gold closest to the top edge is the one that ends your run.
