About the game
Meteor Power puts you in charge of a handful of construction robots on a chunk of rock floating in space. The robots can walk, jump and climb across the asteroid, and you tell them where to go with a click. What they build is power: solar stations that collect energy and power lines that carry it from one station to the next.
Your energy slowly drains, and meteors keep falling and tearing up what you have made. You have to expand fast enough to keep the energy up, repair what breaks and put barrier pylons where they protect the most. It is a real-time strategy game, but one where the units get around by platforming, so the shape of the rock matters as much as the plan.
It was made for Ludum Dare 50 (theme: "Delay the inevitable") and extended afterwards; the version here is the later one.
Playing it here
Click Play and wait for the page to load (about 23 MB, downloaded only when you press the button). A loading screen works out where the robots can walk; when it says "Tap to continue", click. The version here is built from the source code, with the analytics, the terms-and-privacy page and the support links removed so that the game never talks to any other server.
Controls
| Input | Action |
|---|---|

Tips
Build early. Energy only grows once stations are up and connected.
Mind the meteors. Keep power lines short so a single hit does not cut the whole network.
Spread out. Stations far apart are harder for one meteor shower to ruin.
