About the game
Pixel Princess Platformer sends a pixel-art heroine through six worlds, one after the other: an enchanted forest, a coral reef under the sea, a set of eastern rooftops, snowy peaks, a garden at dusk and finally a royal castle. Each world has its own look, its own music and a twist in the level design: brambles and ravines in the forest, sea urchins and patrolling crabs on the reef, flying obstacles over the rooftops, icicles that fall and reset in the mountains, and columns of breeze in the garden that carry you on long glides.
You run, jump and stomp on the little creatures that get in the way, collect the apples scattered along the route and reach the flag at the end of each level. Checkpoints keep the walk fair. Every finished world rewards the princess with a new piece of clothing (a skirt, a bodice, a necklace, a crown, gloves and a cape), which layers onto her sprite. In the castle you meet a stone guardian that hovers out of reach, rains shockwaves and rubble, and then dives, which is your moment to stomp it. When it falls, the ballroom opens.
Mistakes cost one of your three lives, and a funny bill: every slip adds 500 "Cuddles" to your tab, which you "pay" to continue. Lose all three lives and the journey starts over from the first level. At the end a receipt with your total bill and your play time closes the story.
It was made by Vito D'Elia in plain JavaScript on top of the Kaplay library, with no build step. It was built with Claude Code, the AI coding assistant, and every sprite, tile, background and sound is generated by the author's own scripts rather than taken from art packs. The interface comes in English and Italian.
Playing it here
Click Play, then choose your heroine and press Start. On a computer, run with the left and right arrows and jump with Space or the up arrow; hold the key to jump higher. Esc opens the pause menu, which has the volume sliders and a restart button. On a phone or tablet, turn the device to landscape and use the on-screen buttons. The game picks English or Italian from your browser's language, and you can change it in Settings on the title screen. Your progress and volume settings are saved in your browser only; nothing is sent anywhere.

Tips
Stomp, do not touch. Jumping on top of a creature defeats it, while walking into it costs a life.
Look for the checkpoints. After a slip you restart from the last one, so a careful run to the next flag is worth it.
Hold the jump key. A longer press gives a higher jump, which matters for the wide ravines.
Wait for the guardian. The final boss can only be hurt when it dives to the ground, so keep moving and stomp it after its attack.
FAQ
Is there a time limit? There is a clock in the corner that measures your net play time, but nothing ends when it runs out. Pauses do not count.
Can I play on a phone? Yes, in landscape, with the on-screen buttons.
Does it have sound? Yes, music and effects. The speaker icon in the corner mutes everything, and Settings has separate sliders.
Is my progress saved? Yes, in your browser. Settings has a button to erase it.
Credits and licence
Pixel Princess Platformer was made by Vito D'Elia and is released under the MIT licence. The game was built with Claude Code. All art and audio come from the author's own generator scripts. The Pixelify Sans font is under the SIL Open Font License, and the Kaplay game library is used under its own licence (MIT with an added restriction on machine learning training); all the texts are in the licence file. The changes made for this site are the removal of the online leaderboard, the share and WhatsApp buttons, the service worker and the web app manifest, a rule that blocks any request to other sites, and a neutral finale: the personal dedication in the original ending became a plain "Congratulations!" and the heroine called Anna is called Rose.
