About the game
You are a skier on an endless white slope, seen from above. The skis follow the mouse: point them straight down the hill and you pick up speed, turn them across the slope and you slow down. Trees and rocks appear ahead of you, and a touch ends the run. Bumps and ramps are there too, and a ramp throws you into a bigger jump.
There is no finish line. The game counts distance, speed and time, and keeps your best result, so every run is a small challenge to go farther than the last one. A jump takes you over an obstacle at the cost of a short stretch without steering, so it pays to jump early and land pointing downhill.
Playing it here
Click Play, then move the mouse below the skier to start sliding. Click to jump when something is in your way.

A few things worth knowing
Aim downhill. Speed comes from pointing the skis straight down; the more you traverse, the slower you go.
Jump early. Land pointing downhill so you do not lose speed after the jump.
Look ahead. The screen scrolls fast. Pick a gap between obstacles before you reach it.
Credits and licence
Powder Run is one of the games in LittleJS Arcade, a collection by Frank Force built on his open-source LittleJS engine and released under the MIT licence. The pictures are drawn in code and the sounds are synthesised, so the game has no image or audio files. The author's repository includes AI-assistant guidance files, so the collection was written with the help of AI tools. The licence text is linked from this page and the source code is on GitHub.
