About the game
It is deep space, and columns of green ships slide down the screen, some nearer and bigger, some further away and smaller. You do not shoot. All you have is a small sight that follows the mouse. Move it over a ship and the ship is locked on, with a spinning ring around it. Sweep the sight over a whole line of ships and each one is locked in turn.
As soon as at least one ship is locked, a laser bursts from the bottom of the screen and snakes through the locked ships in the order you locked them, destroying each. The first one it hits scores 1 point, the next 2, then 3, and so on, so the way to score is to lock a long chain before the laser gets there, and the order is up to you. Only one laser is in the air at a time, but you can keep locking onto ships while it flies, and once it has gone the next one starts for those you have chosen.
A ship that leaves the screen without being locked on ends the game, so you can never just ignore a ship, however small and far away. On a touch screen the sight moves relative to your finger, rather than jumping to it.
T Laser is one of the mini-games that Kenta Cho, who works as ABA Games, makes with his crisp-game-lib library. There are no image or sound files: the graphics are drawn by the code, and the sound effects and music are generated while you play.
Playing it here
Click Play, then move the mouse or touch inside the game to start. Nothing is installed or sent anywhere. The best score at the top right is only remembered while the page stays open. The game has a dark look, which is part of the original design.

A few things worth knowing
Lock the near ones first. Bigger, nearer ships are easy to hit but also leave the screen first.
Chain as many as you can. Each ship after the first in a chain is worth one more point than the one before.
Watch the edges. A ship that slips off the screen is a lost game, so keep an eye on anything that is about to leave.
Credits and licence
T Laser was made by Kenta Cho (ABA Games) and published under the MIT licence in the crisp-game-lib-games repository.
