About the game
You came to this place on a day like any other, to find some new furniture. But the walls have closed in, all signs of human life are gone, and cursed wooden creatures now walk the halls. You do not know what happened, only that you cannot stay.
Furniture: Screws and Blood is a real-time survival-horror roguelike played in a furniture store. Eight procedurally generated floors of showroom stand between you and the way out, and the things in them want to take you apart: possessed chairs, eldritch lamps and, at the bottom, a Sofa of Eternity that the author promises is undying. The horror is the comedy kind: the blood is pixel-art splashes, the enemies are pieces of furniture, and the documents you find along the way carry secrets that nobody should know.
You carry a few tools and weapons (a hammer, a wrench, a chainsaw), you find keys that open the matching coloured doors, and when a door is not opening you can get annoyed and use a bomb instead, which is also a good way to blow yourself up by accident. The game runs in real time, so enemies move while you think, and the tip from the author is that not every fight has to be fought: run, hit and back off.
The first screen asks for a difficulty: Accessible, Suggested, Classic or Nightmare.

Click Play, choose a difficulty and click "Click to begin!" then "Enter the horror...". The game has a sound button in the corner for the music and effects. Nothing is saved, so closing the page ends the run.

A few things worth knowing
Not every battle needs to be fought. Doors, corners and distance are on your side; hit-and-run tactics work better than standing still.
Keys and bombs are two answers to the same door. The right key is quiet, the bomb is quick, and both have a price.
Read what you find. The notes are part of the story.
