About the game
Libbet is a boulder girl who finds a hidden hall under her basement, with a floor of tiles in four shades. She can roll or jump onto a tile of the same shade, onto the next brighter shade, or from white back to black. Every move of the last two kinds leaves a track on the floor.
The goal of each floor is to leave tracks on 90 percent of the moves that are possible, then roll out through the exit. The catch is that a tile with no way out hides a trap door that drops Libbet back at the entrance, so the order in which you cross the floor matters more than speed.
The game is a Game Boy port of Magic Floor, a puzzle by Martin Korth, made with his permission. The art, the character and the floor generator, which rejects floors that cannot be played well, are Damian Yerrick's.
Playing it here
This is a homebrew game made for the Game Boy: a new game by an independent developer, not a commercial release. It runs here in binjgb, a Game Boy emulator compiled to WebAssembly. Click Play now; the opening pages explain the rules with pictures, and the first floor is a small tutorial.
The cartridge has no save memory. F2 saves the current state of the emulator in this browser and F4 brings it back. A gamepad works too.

A few things worth knowing
Plan the route backwards. Tiles you cannot leave are traps. Think about where you will end up after each track, not only where the next one is.
You do not need every track. Ninety percent opens the exit; a perfect 100 percent is a goal of its own.
Jumps skip a tile. A jump carries Libbet over the next tile, which opens moves a roll cannot make. Watch her shadow to see where she will land.
Chase the achievements. Completing every floor at 100 percent, finishing a floor without ever stopping, or spinning the Control Pad a full circle in mid air all earn achievements.
