About the game
Librerama is an arcade of "nanogames": tiny, frantic games that last only a few seconds each. A one-word order flashes on the screen (CROSS!, EAT!, DODGE!, COUNT!), the nanogame starts, and you have to work out what to do and do it before the timer runs out. Win and the next one comes a little faster; lose and you spend one of your hearts. The goal is simply the highest score you can reach before the hearts are gone.
The collection holds 24 nanogames with very different ideas: a rabbit hopping a stream to reach its sweetheart, a pinball machine, a fly after its lunch, a memory game with playing cards, a desktop where files have to be sorted, a jump-rope, a punching bag and more. Some use the mouse or a finger, others the arrow keys and one action key. The art is bright and cartoonish, and the whole thing is wrapped in a little arcade lobby with a chatty robot attendant.
The author is open about it: Librerama is a work in progress, and the game tells you so on the first screen. It is free software, and every sound and picture in every nanogame is credited to its maker.
Playing it here
Click Play and wait for the page to load (about 41 MB, downloaded only when you press the button). Dismiss the first notice, then listen to the attendant in the lobby (the button with the arrow skips each line), go to the Arcade and choose Quickplay. You can also open the Collection to see the nanogames and the tutorial behind the "?" button. Progress, tickets and settings are kept in your browser.

Tips
Read the word first. The one-word hint at the start of each nanogame (CROSS!, FIND!, KEEP IN!) tells you the goal; do not start moving until you know it.
Keep a hand on each. Nanogames ask for the mouse or the keyboard, so keep your hands where you can reach both quickly.
Do not panic when it speeds up. The speed rises with every win, but the nanogames stay simple; the trick is to stay calm and repeat what you did the last time.
FAQ
Is it finished? No. The author calls it a work in progress and says so in the game; some parts of the lobby are marked "Coming Soon".
Are the links in the texts clickable? No. In this version they do nothing, so the game never takes you to another site. The sources and licences are listed on this page.
Is it free to share? Yes. The code is under the GPL (version 3 or later), the pictures and sounds under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0, and the third-party parts of each nanogame under free licences (CC0, CC BY, CC BY-SA, GPL or public domain).
