About the game
The gods of Mount Olympus are hungry for fermented dairy, and you are the only one brave enough to make it for them. Olympus Mountain Creamery is a short, funny game about yogurt, played with just two buttons. Every batch is a small chore with its own rules: heat the milk to the right temperature and keep it there, stir it so that it does not burn, add the flavours you want, let the bacteria ferment it, and finally offer your creation to the gods themselves.
Between batches you buy ingredients and upgrades. The game is a quiet half hour made by one person for a game jam, drawn in a bold cartoon style, and it keeps its sense of humour from the first screen to the last.
Playing it here
Click Play and wait while the game loads (about 22 MB, downloaded only when you press the button). Click inside the game once so that it receives the keyboard. The game explains each step in a text box in the corner of the screen. Your progress stays in this browser. The Options menu has difficulty and accessibility settings, such as a slower game speed, and it lets you remap the two buttons.
Controls
| Input | Action |
|---|---|
| Z (A on a gamepad) | primary button: confirm, stir |
| X (B on a gamepad) | secondary button: back, change the heat |
The buttons can be changed in Options, and the game shows the current key on the screen.
Tips
Do not stir too long. Your arm has an energy meter (Arm Energy), so stir in bursts and let it recover.
Watch the dial. The milk must stay in the safe temperature zone for a few seconds; the counter on the screen tells you how long is left.
Use the accessibility options. If a step is too fast, lower the game speed in Options.
Read the box in the corner. Each new step is explained in a short text box.
