The Missing City Council

About the game
It is a dark and stormy Monday evening in Loimijoki, a small town in Finland, and the City Council is meeting at six o'clock to decide on the zoning of your property. You have every reason to be there. You park, walk into the City Hall, a red brick block with a lot of 1970s brown in it, and find the lobby empty and silent. Then you notice that the front door lets people in but not out.
The councillors have to be somewhere. The building has four floors, a lift, a spiral staircase, a basement and plenty of locked doors, and the further you go the stranger it gets. The game calls itself a perfectly normal mystery, which it is not.
Ville Sundell, who signs as Solarius, wrote it first in Finnish and then translated it for Spring Thing 2026. It is short and forgiving: you can solve it in one sitting, and nothing you do can leave you stuck.

A few things worth knowing
Read the exits in the room list. Doors are listed as objects (a door to the
lift, a door to the garage), and most of them lead off diagonally, so
examine them and try enter.
Do more than look. Rooms are described in a line or two, and pushing or moving the furniture sometimes shows what a plain look does not.
Keep an eye on the clock. The time in the status line tells you how long the council has been missing.
Hints are in the author's repository. The game has no hint command, but a
full walkthrough is in the extras folder of the
game's repository on Codeberg.
